В данной статье обоснован выбор архитектуры системы управления сельского муниципального образования. Прежде всего, изучены этапы разработки типовых информационных систем. В статье перечислены основные требование, которые должны учитываться при разработке и выборе архитектуры информационной системы (ИС). Как архитектура информационной системы предложена двухуровневая архитектура «клиент – сервер». В качестве средства разработки информационной системы предложен продукт Rational rose фирмы IBM. Одним из важных свойств предложенной архитектуры информационной системы является эволюционный потенциал или возможность расширения ИС. Проанализированы материалы по информатизации муниципальных органов исполнительной власти в РФ. Выбор и обоснования архитектуры осуществлен на основе выявленных недостатков, достоинств и тенденций разработки ИС в материалах и работах авторов.
