The article considers the rolling resistance force of wheel on the snow surface and the influence of the nature of the stress distribution in the contact zone on the resistance value. Experimental diagrams of normal pressure in contact zone of tires with the supporting surface for tires 1300х600-533 «TREKOL» and KI-115AM 12.00 R18 are shown. The methodology of account of the irregularity of the pressure distribution in the tire contact with the supporting surface when calculating the resistance force is given. Coefficients characterizing the irregularity of the pressure distribution for different types of tires were calculated and summarized in the table. Effect of the unevenness of the pressure distribution was analyzed.. Found that difference in the calculation of resistance for different height and density of the snow cover can range from 25 to 70%.
