In the article investigated the influence of various geometry of technological bevel on the stress-strain state at the edges of coatings. The research was conducted on a simulation model of the contact between two rolls by finite element method. In the model used materials with a hardness of 95 Shore A and 70 Shore D, which are used for lining of press rolls of papermaking machines. Physical and mechanical properties of the materials were specified to according to data of diagram “stress-strain”. Determined the normal stress and shear stress, the strain at the edges coating at a line pressure of 100 kN / m. Established, that the presence of bevel reduces stress and strain on the edges of coatings. Revealed, that the geometric shape of the bevel effect on the value of the effective stress and strain in the coating. Shown, that properly chosen geometry bevel provides a significant reduction of stress and strain on the edges of coatings, which increases the durability of the coating.
