Automated scheduling in production to improve effectiveness of the company is used recently enough often, nevertheless some questions of planning remain unresolved. In this article we deal the problem of scheduling production processes using the example of the plan the manufacture of parts manufacturing site with the limited time and resources. The subject area of the task and its features are considered in this paper. On the basis discussed in the article example a theoretical base for software development is constructed: - data structure is designed to describe subject domain; - an information database model is developed to store information; - a mathematical model of the problem is developed; - a multi-agent approach to solve the problem is suggested; - the necessary classes of agents are allocated for the problem solving; - the behavioral model of agents is developed, it takes into account the specifics of the subject area.
