Analyzes the known method of designing capacitive ignition systems GTE. By modeling the expression for calculating the ignition delay as a function of the mixture flow rate, burning rate and cycle time of ignition. With the application of the results of experiments evaluated the effect of the discharge energy in the candle and the repetition frequency of discharges on the ignition delay time in a constant power consumption of the ignition system. An expression is derived for determining its igniting ability based on actual parameters in the combustion chamber. Proved that sparks igniting ability can be assessed by the radius of the initial core of the flame.
