ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIALIZED COMPUTER SYSTEMS OF KNOWLEDGE CONTROL

The paper deals with the aspects of creation of specialized computer-based testing systems. As an example the system EMM_test is described. It was developed by the authors for the control of knowledge on the subject “Economic-mathematical methods.” One important feature of this system is the use of models and algorithms for discrete optimization to determine the optimal structure of the test. In the case of limited time for testing such test provides a fairly objective assessment of student’s knowledge. The tests formation process of is automated and is held in the mode of on-line. It is based on algorithms developed by the authors to generate variants of tests. The structure and the diagram of functioning of computer system EMM_test are described. Results of using of this system in training for students of the economical specialty are demonstrated. Areas of further development of the system and the prospects of the using approach to create specialized computer testing systems for other disciplines are discussed.
