The paper presents a theoretical study of the stress-strain state of reinforced concrete beams, calculated by the cross section deformation model described in euronorms. This method examines the work of reinforced concrete as elastic-plastic material, based on the non-linear dependencies (diagrams) between stress and strain in the section of a beam, at all stages, starting from the date of application of the load and ending with the complete destruction of the element, as well as to determine the time and order of the loss of the bearing capacity of concrete and fittings. The comparative analysis of experimental data for the study of bent reinforced concrete elements with the values obtained from the analysis of beams with the same geometric and physical parameters within the section of the deformation model and the model of plastic hinge.
